    The Catalina Island and Altos de Chavón excursion departs three days a week and lasts approximately 7 hours . Transportation from your hotel to Altos de Chavón is included, so you don’t need to worry about finding alternative transportation.

    After visiting this cultural space, we will take you by boat to Catalina Island , so you can enjoy the incredible tropical climate of the Dominican Republic, the white sand and the crystal clear waters of the island.

    This excursion also includes an all-you-can-eat buffet with typical Dominican food and drinks on the island, all while enjoying idyllic scenery. We’ll also provide all the necessary snorkeling equipment : life jacket, fins, and mask, accompanied by professional guides who will answer any questions you may have.

    Itinerary

    7:00 am - Pick-up from your hotel by bus.

    8:30 a.m. - We will arrive in Altos de Chavón so you can visit the town and its main tourist attractions . Altos de Chavón is a Mediterranean-style village located on one of the banks of the Chavón River , which gives the town its name .

    10:30 a.m. – After exploring the village, we'll take you to Catalina Island , with its stunning beaches where you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea by swimming or snorkeling. The island's natural environment is home to a multitude of fish and marine life, as well as coral reefs that support a vibrant underwater ecosystem.

    • Tres Ojos National Park: in its cave you will find one of the most important tourist destinations in the park, the freshwater lake that lies inside .
    • Columbus Lighthouse: monument and museum dedicated to the figure of Christopher Columbus , discoverer of the New World.
    • Colonial City: historic and leisure center of Santo Domingo.

    1:00 pm – You can continue enjoying the charms of Catalina Island until the free buffet is ready , allowing you to recharge your energy for the rest of the day.
