Tour Itinerary
The itinerary we will follow on this excursion is as follows:
9:00 am – Pick-up at your hotel by the driver and your Spanish or English-speaking guide. We then begin our journey along the coast, enjoying the views this area has to offer.
10:15 am – Arrival in Oviedo and visit to the lagoon. This saltwater nature reserve is home to 24 islets. We’ll board a boat and observe native birds such as herons and ducks. We’ll also visit an islet inhabited by iguanas. In addition, we’ll approach Flamingo Island, home to the largest flamingo colony in the Dominican Republic. Before leaving the lagoon, we’ll head to the mud baths, where we can soak and splash around for a while.
12:30 pm – After enjoying the visit to Oviedo Lagoon and Flamingo Island, the excursion continues to Los Patos, a typical spot to relax and enjoy a swim in one of the rivers or beaches. You can also enjoy a typical Dominican lunch in this area. If you’d like to do so, speak with the guide, and they will take you to one of the recommended restaurants.
3:30 pm – Return to the hotel, enjoying the views again along the way back, traveling along the southern coast of the Dominican Republic.
