9:30 am Pick-up from your Airbnb, hotel in Punta Cana, or La Romana cruise port. The day begins with the convenience of being picked up from your accommodation or arrival point in Punta Cana or La Romana. From there, we’ll prepare for a short drive to the majestic Cotubanamá National Park, home to Chicho’s Cave. Along the way, our expert guide will provide a brief overview of the area’s rich natural and cultural history, preparing you for the adventure ahead.
Arrival at Cotubanamá National Park. Once in the park, we will begin our hike to Chicho Cave. This walk is an excellent opportunity to enjoy and learn about the local flora and fauna, while our guide points out endemic species and explains the ecological importance of the park. The hike is of low to moderate difficulty, suitable for most visitors.
Exploring Chicho Cave: Upon arriving at Chicho Cave, you’ll be amazed by the stunning underground world that unfolds before you. The cave is famous for its rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites, and a refreshing body of crystal-clear water perfect for swimming. Immerse yourself in the cave’s cool waters and enjoy a relaxing moment in a unique natural setting.
Visit to Bayahibe Beach. After exploring the cave, we’ll head to Bayahibe Beach. This short drive will take us to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic. Here you’ll have free time to relax on its soft white sands or swim in the calm turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
Return. After an afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment at Bayahibe Beach, it’s time to head back. We’ll transport you back to your accommodation or the original pick-up point, concluding a day filled with adventure, culture, and relaxation.
