What's included in the Catalina Island tour?
The Catalina Island excursion departs daily. It starts early and includes transportation from your hotel to La Romana, 69 kilometers by road from Punta Cana, where the catamaran departs for Catalina Island. The excursion lasts approximately 8 hours , so you will return to your hotel in the late afternoon or evening.
On the catamaran you will have access to local drinks and enjoy the company of an entertainment team that will keep you entertained throughout the journey.
Once on the island and surrounded by the fine sand of its beaches, you’ll have plenty of free time to enjoy this little paradise . The options are endless: relax, snorkel, stroll along the coast…
This excursion also includes a buffet lunch , where you can try typical Dominican food and drinks.
Snorkeling equipment is also included in the tour price and consists of a life jacket, fins, and mask . You’ll also be accompanied by a professional guide at all times in the water. This way, your experience will be more complete, allowing you to fully enjoy the depths of the Caribbean Sea.
Itinerary
07:00 – Pick-up from your hotel to our meeting point.
08:30 – Departure from our meeting point towards La Romana.
10:30 – We arrive in La Romana, where we will board a ship to Catalina Island.
- Tres Ojos National Park: in its cave you will find one of the most important tourist destinations in the park, the freshwater lake that lies inside .
- Columbus Lighthouse: monument and museum dedicated to the figure of Christopher Columbus , discoverer of the New World.
- Colonial City: historic and leisure center of Santo Domingo.
10:45 – We will board the catamaran , where we will invite you to try our local drinks and you can enjoy our entertainment team and Dominican music throughout the journey .

- Cathedral of Saint Mary.
- Amber Museum.
- Rum Museum.
- Museum of the Royal Houses.
11:45 – We make our first stop where you'll snorkel with a professional guide who can answer any questions you may have. If you don't know how to swim, don't worry, our guide will accompany you throughout the activity.
13:30 – All-you-can-eat buffet , where you will taste the best dishes of Dominican Creole cuisine .
14:30 – Leisure time to enjoy the wonderful beach of Catalina Island.
15:30 – We return to La Romana.
17:00 – We begin the return journey to your accommodation.
18:00 - End of tour.
