    The tour of the Larimar Mines has the following itinerary:

    • 9:00 am – Pick-up from your accommodation. A Spanish-speaking driver in a 4×4 will be waiting for you at your hotel entrance, along with a local guide. You can ride inside or sit in the open back to enjoy the weather while observing your surroundings.
    • 10:00 am – Mine visit . Once you arrive at the mine, you’ll enjoy a tour of the village, whose activity revolves around stone extraction. Entering the tunnels is not recommended due to the high risk involved, so if you choose to do so, it will be at your own risk. You must also inform your guide beforehand.
    • 12:00 pm – After visiting the mining town, we’ll go to Villa Miriam on the San Rafael River. This natural area offers waterfalls and natural pools perfect for a refreshing dip. You can also enjoy a typical Dominican lunch; if so, please inform the guide and pay for it separately.
    • 1:30 pm – Next, we’ll visit a Larimar workshop , where local artisans carve the stone. You can buy your own piece of jewelry from one of the vendors in the area, but it’s recommended that you consult with the guide beforehand to find out which ones are the best.
    • 3:30 pm – After the experience, the driver will take you back to your accommodation , enjoying the journey back to your hotel.
