Overview

The Dominican Republic's tropical nature is one of the country's main tourist attractions . Today we want to suggest a unique excursion you can take from Punta Cana, which includes visits to three places where the landscapes will leave you speechless.

The first of these is Montaña Redonda , a place that has become famous in recent years for its panoramic view over the Caribbean, where snapshots on a swing looking towards the horizon have made it one of the most photographed places in the Dominican Republic.

Los Haitises National Park is our next destination, an area where the sea, mangroves, rainforests , and even archaeological remains hidden in caves reveal all the natural charm the country has to offer . Its small, verdant hills are also the perfect place for birdwatching, with species found only here.

Within the park lies another  magical place : the Rancho Yanigua waterfall. This spectacular waterfall is the perfect spot to disconnect from the tourist crowds of Punta Cana, surrounded by lush vegetation that makes you think you're more than 100 kilometers from the nearest town, even though you're not.

Let's explore this unique and adventure-filled ecotourism excursion in the Dominican Republic!

Why can't you miss this excursion?

At Montaña Redonda, you’ll see how the area has been perfectly prepared for tourists. Don’t forget to take a picture on the famous swing at the top .

Los Haitises National Park is pure, unspoiled beauty. Human intervention has barely touched this place, allowing you to experience the wild beauty of the Dominican Republic’s natural world .

Finally, at Rancho Yanigua, you will observe the last of the realities. This is the one in which humans have learned to control nature to use it to their advantage, always with the utmost respect for it.

What will you see in this place?

Besides the views of the Caribbean and the Dominican countryside, this viewpoint is a paradise for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers . Typical snapshots include those taken on a flying broomstick with the sea in the background, photos from a swing overlooking the horizon, or simply those capturing a memory of the panoramic view of this magical place.

The trip to this landscape also includes views of the Limón and Redonda lagoons , a natural spectacle best admired from the summit. In the distance, you can also see the area’s most exceptional beaches.

The mountain is over 1,000 feet high , so reaching the summit will be a real adrenaline rush . The walk up , however, is relaxing, surrounded by trees and plants typical of the Dominican countryside, where greenery abounds at every turn. Montaña Redonda will always be a memory you cherish!
