On Saona Island, you’ll find some of the Dominican Republic’s endemic plant species. In total, there are four ecosystems to appreciate on the island: scrublands, semi-humid forests, mangrove forests, and, of course, mangroves .

The beach is just a few meters from the jungle, which you can enter to feel away from the rest of the planet and appreciate the true feeling of well-being.

Saona Island Tour from Samana / Las Terrenas

Duration: Extended full day, approximately 14 to 16 hours.

Time	Itinerary
6:00 AM – 6:30 AM	Pickup from Samana or Las Terrenas. This schedule requires final supplier confirmation.
6:30 AM – 10:30 AM	Transfer to Bayahibe with a short comfort stop on the way.
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM	Arrival at the port and check-in for a confirmed late boat or private boat operation.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM	Departure to Saona Island by speedboat or catamaran.
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM	Stop at the Natural Pool, if timing and sea conditions allow.
1:00 PM – 3:30 PM	Beach time on Saona Island, lunch and drinks according to the selected package.
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM	Return to Bayahibe by boat.
4:30 PM – 5:00 PM	Boarding of the return transportation.
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM	Return transfer to Samana or Las Terrenas.
9:00 PM – 9:30 PM	Approximate arrival.
Important note: Due to the long distance, this tour is better for private groups or clients who accept a long day. Overnight near Bayahibe is recommended for a smoother experience.
